University of South Carolina Upstate Library opened its doors in the fall of 1967 as the Spartanburg Regional Campus. Through the years it was called USCS and USC Spartanburg. In 2004, it became USC Upstate or the University of South Carolina Upstate.
The USC Upstate Library promotes the metropolitan mission of the University by serving the curricular information needs of USC Upstate students, faculty and staff, and where possible, the educational needs of the broader community. The library houses an archive of USC Upstate related materials. Included in the Archives are student handbooks, yearbooks, schedules, campus directories, photos, copies of faculty publications, and more.
